Elsebeth Lavold is one of my favorite yarns. It's 45% wool, 35% silk, and 20% nylon gives warmth, strength, and breathability. This yarn is versatile with which size needle you can use with it. I've used size 6 and 7 needles, for a drapey, open lacework shawl, and I've also used size 3 needles, for a closed knit scarf. Because I overheat often, I rarely wear pullovers, but with this blend, I'm able to wear a knitted pullover sweater without becoming too warm. This yarn is great for anything you might have in mind, but my favorite use of it is in fact for garments.
